About 6,000 FCFA buys one child a year of AI tutoring.

That is roughly £8, €9 or $10 — one restaurant lunch. It pays for a full school year of an AI tutor and homework scanning for one Cameroonian primary pupil who would otherwise revise for the FSLC entirely alone.

What your money actually buys

Not overheads, not posters. Every sponsorship franc is earmarked for the one thing in Pass Pass that costs money per use: the AI. Lessons, quizzes and past papers are free to serve, so they are free to children — with or without you.

Why sponsorship, not a paywall

We refuse to put the tutor behind a price a poor family can't pay.

💸

The honest economics

Written lessons cost nothing extra to give to the ten-thousandth child. AI answers cost a few francs each, every time. So we charge for one and never for the other.

🚫

Why not just run ads?

Because this is a children's app. There will never be an ad network inside Pass Pass, and no child's attention will ever be sold. Sponsorship is how we stay funded without doing that.

🎯

Where sponsored places go

To partner schools in under-served areas, allocated by the school itself — the head teacher knows which pupils are one bad term from dropping out. We don't second-guess them.

Figures below are indicative and derived from our real AI cost per pupil-year plus delivery. If your budget sits between two tiers, we will simply convert it into pupil-years at the same rate — nothing here is a rigid package.

How we get to 6,000 FCFA. A tutor exchange or a page scan costs us single-digit francs of AI compute. Budgeting generously for a child who uses Pass Pass through a full school year — including exam term, when usage spikes — plus the cost of running the service, one sponsored pupil-year lands close to 6,000 FCFA. As models get cheaper, that number falls, and the saving buys more children rather than a bigger margin.

What one sponsorship reaches

Small money goes an unreasonable distance here

1 year
of AI tutoring for one child, for about $10
~40
pupils covered by a single classroom sponsorship
0 FCFA
that a sponsored child's family ever has to pay
100%
of sponsorship earmarked for AI delivery to pupils

Pass Pass is early. We would rather show you the arithmetic than quote impact numbers we have not yet earned — the anonymous measurement layer that will produce real usage figures is the next thing we build, and sponsors will get those figures first.

For companies

Corporate sponsorship that a marketing director can defend

Banks, telecoms, mobile-money operators, insurers, agribusiness, foundations, diaspora associations — if your customers are Cameroonian families, their children are our users.

📄

The best inventory we have: past papers

Every FSLC candidate in the country wants past papers. Ours are free and always will be — and each pack carries a single, quiet sponsor credit on the cover. It is the most-opened page in the app, given away by you.

📊

Reporting you can put in an annual report

Pupil-years funded, schools reached, regions covered, topics practised — aggregate and anonymous, delivered each term. No child-level data leaves the device to make your report look better.

🤝

Co-branded launches with real schools

We run the launch day with the school and the local authority: devices set up, teachers trained, parents shown how it works. Your team is welcome to be in the room.

🛡️

Boundaries we won't move

No ads. No pop-ups. No sponsor messaging inside a lesson or a tutor conversation. No child data shared with sponsors. Sponsorship is a credit line on free material — never a channel to children.

Questions

Sponsor questions, answered plainly

Do I get told which specific child I sponsor?

No — and we think you would not want us to. Handing a stranger the name, photo and school of a specific nine-year-old is a safeguarding risk we are not willing to take. You choose the school or the region; the head teacher allocates the places; you receive reporting at class and school level. If you want a personal connection to the work, come to a launch day.

What happens if AI costs fall?

Your sponsorship covers more children. We will not quietly bank the difference — the pupil-year price is recalculated each year and published, and the schools get the extra places.

Can I sponsor in euros, pounds or dollars?

Yes. Diaspora and international sponsors can pay by card or bank transfer; local sponsors normally use mobile money. Email us and we will send the details for whichever suits you.

Is Pass Pass a charity or a company?

A company building a sustainable product, funding free access through sponsorship rather than through donors alone. We would rather be honest about that than dress commercial work up as charity. If you need a registered charitable vehicle for tax purposes, tell us and we will be straight with you about what we can and cannot issue.

Will you put my logo in front of children?

Only as a single credit line on free past-paper packs and, for classroom sponsors and above, on a welcome screen. Never inside a lesson, never inside a tutor conversation, never as an interruption. If that is too quiet for your campaign, we are probably the wrong partner.

How do I know the money reached pupils?

Termly reporting: schools onboarded, pupil-years funded, aggregate usage. It is early enough that we will also simply show you the invoices for AI usage if you ask.

Be the reason a child has a tutor this year.

Tell us what you have in mind and we will come back with a concrete proposal — schools, numbers, dates.
